Laikipia tourismDescription

Tassia Lodge is set in a stunning wilderness area, situated on the 60,000 acre Lekurruki Community Ranch. Perched dramatically on the edge of a rocky bluff overlooking a valley filled with Acacia and Newtonia trees, it gives a spectacular and breathtaking view of the Northern Frontier District towards Samburu. This community eco-lodge is owned by Lekerruki Community and is built entirely from low impact material, the ‘organic’ structure appears as a natural extension of the ground it is built on.

Looking out towards Samburu, Shaba and the sacred Lolokwe Mountain, Tassia sprawls gently over a rocky outcrop which protrudes from the Mukogodo escarpment. In the valley below, the Loimugi trees, a favourite food for the elephant, grow in abundance. This community eco-lodge is situated on the 60,000 acre Lekerruki Group Ranch, in Laikipia.

There are 6 spacious rooms (five double and one twin) which can be adapted for families. Extra beds are available for children. Each banda (bungalow) is unique and all are en suite. The side of the room facing the view is completely open giving an unobstructed view of the wilderness and wildlife below.

A dining/sitting room overlooks a stunning pool built into rocks surrounded by fig trees.

Other features of the lodge include a horizon swimming pool, dining room, bar, "Chill out area" and deck area.
